Milestone and birthday sessions are so much fun and as a McKinney family photographer I was thrilled to do this super fun donut smash for little A's 2 year photo shoot! Her mom and I started brainstorming ideas several weeks in advance and what started out as an intended "mini session" eventually grew into a full blown, two outfit session. 

 Cake smashes are ever so popular for baby's 1st birthday and we wanted to do something similar for this 2 year session...and well, who doesn't love donuts?!

Right from the start of the session, the birthday girl let us know exactly who was going to be running the show. In true 2 year old fashion, she asserted her independence. For starters, she wasn't about to let the glitter coated #2 steal the spot light, so her first order of business was to knock that right over! Of course she's so darn cute that we were happy to oblige and let her do her thang! In the end, I prevailed and managed to get that golden 2 in a shot...

The spunk is strong with this one. Check out these awesome diva moves she had for us. I love the personality! 

Before we wrapped up the session with donuts, I loved capturing these sweet classics. This little beauty has the most gorgeous skin, an amazing smile and so much life in those twinkly little eyes. She's a joy to be around and I know that her parents (especially dad!) have a lifetime ahead of them of being wrapped around her little finger. I mean, who could resist all of this cuteness? 

Finally! Time for Donuts. She was READY for them and took a "run, don't walk" approach (as we all should when donuts are involved)
