Fall Family Pictures | Erwin Park, McKinney

It's that time of year...fall family pictures are in full swing and I'm loving all of those golden hour vibes! This session is easily one of my all time favorites. This mom of seven (yes, I said SEVEN) came out to Erwin Park for a sunset shoot of her and her youngest little man.

Tell me he's not the cutest thing you've EVER seen!

Most of my sessions happen in that sweet time known as golden hour (about an hour before sunset) and if it's a full session (not a mini) we'll usually do a couple of different set ups. I start in a shady spot for some clean and classic looking shots. Solomon was super happy and cooperative for the entire shoot. He was so much fun!

We had a lot of fun in this spot watching him roll around, play with his feet, and get in some snuggles (and tickles) with mom.

Seriously some of the most piercing blue eyes I've ever seen and I think he looks so precious in gray!

That multi-colored blanket was hand made for my youngest son by my dear friend and owner of Hop Hop and Honey Bees. I have always loved that blanket (I love everything she makes-really y'all, she's amazing) and I knew when we first started planning this session I wanted to use it. It's so perfect for fall and I'm sure you'll be seeing it again!

After this set up we had a little bit of daylight left and moved within the park to a more open area. I love the magic of a sunset...there's just nothing quite like it.

I don't know if there is anything in this world that can compare with the bond a mother has with her child. I love capturing these connections because I know exactly how fast they pass by. Whether you have one baby or seven, your love just multiplies and grows so big that your heart can barely contain it all. This little guy was ready for some food by the end of the evening and it was too sweet not to capture that moment too! Even as he helped himself to some snuggles with mom he was still flashing me some twinkly eyed glances. Swoon.
