As a Dallas newborn photographer one of my favorite things about in home sessions is that my clients get to experience the luxury of never leaving their house for their photo shoot! Having a newborn and a toddler can be overwhelming, even more so when you're trying to get everyone "picture ready" and then add on having to get out the door to another place...on time. Makes me tired just thinking about it!
The J family decided on an in home session and I'm so glad! It was so relaxed and couldn't have gone better. Just look at these sweet baby toes and wrinkled thighs. This little man was so precious and you'll see a little later in the post, so was his big brother!
I love getting a few shots of babies in their cribs and I brought along one of my favorite crib sheets for this session from Rookie Humans. I love the way the beautiful artwork frames the baby and draws your eye right to him. Another sweet addition to this session was this beautiful wrap (color: saltwater) from Cloth Apothecary, I love how it photographed.
Family shots are some of my faves too. It's so sweet to see everyone in the family loving on their new baby. Here are some highlights of some family moments.
Best Friends are we, my brother and me
Big Brother Spotlight!
I couldn't resist getting some shots of this handsome guy. He was just too adorable and deserved a little moment to shine!
Little Details
Details like the crown of the head, sweet little lips, noses and toesies are probably some of my all time favorite things to capture. I adore the way a baby's head looks cradled in his parents hands and feel like these types of shots evoke so much emotion.
Another way I capture details is by doing some lightly wrapped/posed shots (if they baby is up for it). Little man was so sleepy and content we were able to get some gorgeous shots of him curled up in this custom knit pod by Hop Hop and Honeybees.
It makes me so happy when mom and dad participate in the session! These are the images that your children are going to love and appreciate so much someday. Because they're so young, they won't remember what you were like at this time. They will absolutely treasure having images of their parents like this and I think it's such a special gift to pass down!
Thank you so much to the beautiful J family for allowing AJP into your home and trusting me with these moments. It was a joy to serve you!
